Alvira is a senior at Shaker High School, and this is her third year working with The Bison. Besides writing for the school newspaper, she enjoys playing field hockey and serving as the president of the Teens for Refugees and Speech and Debate club. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, coaching figure skating lessons, watching movies with friends, and (attempting to) cook and bake. Her favorite food of all time is mac & cheese.
