5 Ways to help stop animal cruelty

Do you like animals?  Do you want to help keep more animals safe and away from harm?  If the answer is yes,  read the article below to find out what you can do to help stop animal cruelty!

  1. Report it!

You might be thinking…”wow reporting it is so obvious”  but you would be surprised at how many people are bystanders and don’t end up doing/reporting anything about what they see happening.  How can I report animal cruelty?  You can dial 911 for animal cruelty or you can call the number (845) 331-5377.  Don’t be a bystander  – if you see animal cruelty, do something about it!

2. Inform yourself!

Informing yourself about animal cruelty is actually one of the most important things to do if you want to help stop it.  Informing yourself is so important because then when you do see animal cruelty you would recognize what was happening in the moment and therefore you could do something about it.  What are you waiting for, click the links down below to inform yourself about animal cruelty!

3. Donate!

Did you know you can easily (if you have money) donate money to your local animal rescue organizations.  How would this help?  This would help greatly because when you donate the money the organization takes that money and invests in blankets, food, water, etc….. for the poor animals they find.  Where can I donate money?  You can donate money to http://kittenangels.org/.  Yes, these people only rescue cats and kittens but they are a very hard working group and I have actually adopted two of my cats from there and I can tell how well they treat the rescue animals they find.  They are a  very great organization!

4. Be an example of Kindness!

Be an example of kindness to whom?  To animals! You might not know it, but being an example of kindness to animals can inspire people into being one too.  The more people who are examples, the better the world for animals.

5. Spread the word!

Spreading the word is very important as well.  The more people who know about animal cruelty the more change we people can make.  So stop waiting around, spread the word!
