ear Shaker Bison, do you have any suggestions on staying in touch with friends who are full remote or in the opposite cohort? Especially seeing as some of the old commonalities (i.e. same classes, same clubs, same lunch period) no longer offer socialization?~A Lonely Lorax

Dear A Lonely Lorax,

I know exactly what you mean! Personally, what I found to help is the normal check-in text, but also try calling them. You could try calling them on a weekly basis and just talk about things. I’m pretty sure your friends would be on the same side of socializing more, so they’ll most likely agree to go on a phone call with you!

In other words.. have online dates. It could be anything from eating together, doing homework together, or just relaxing on Facetime while you guys are getting work done. Remember you don’t always have to have a conversation. Just knowing that someone is “present” can help. Give it a try!
